Welcome to the Freeport Area Middle School Library page
Our library has a collection of more than 8,000 books. There are eleven computer stations and twenty four laptops that are networked within the district and allow the students to research subjects using modern technology. The middle school library is a member of the ACCESS PA POWER LIBRARY program. This membership enables our students to view the catalogs of over 2,700 school, public, academic, and special libraries across the state. This database includes over 35 million records. Students may borrow from these libraries through inter-library loan. Funded by tax dollars, membership also allows our students to use the ACCESS POWER LIBRARY subscription only databases that apply to a variety of subjects.
My main goal as librarian is to increase reading in our school and events related to that will be posted on this page regularly. Also more content will be added throughout the school year. Please contact me with any comments, questions, or concerns.
